explorers travel to faraway places

and return home to tell about their

journeys. Some explorers start their

new adventures on land. Some have

underwater adventures. Explorers

even go into outer space.

For thousands of years, people

have wanted to learn about all of

the different places on Earth. Some

explored to find better places to live.

Other explorers looked for food or

drinking water. Some looked for

treasure and adventure.
